Verruca Cryotherapy
The Podiatry Clinic offers professional Verruca Cryotherapy. This freezes down to minus 90 degrees centrigrade which is much lower than normal shop-bought devices from a Pharmacy. For this method the verruca(s) is gently scraped away using a sterile scalpel and then frozen. Typically 2-5 treatments may be required at monthly intervals which is sometimes combined with acid therapy between visits. For this modality there can be some pain during and after the freeze although no freeze is done until this is discussed in detail - if required a conservative freeze can be given.
Cryotherapy is ideal for small verrucas and finger warts.
