Cushioning for Feet (Dermal fillers)

Cushioning for Feet, or Dermal Fillers, are an innovative method of introducing extra cushioning under tender areas of the foot, for example, under painful corns and areas where the fatty pad is less than normal. The filler used is hyaluronic acid which has a decades long safety record and is painlessly injected fairly superficially into the skin under local anaesthetic. Hyaluronic acid is already abundant in the body which stimulates the body’s own production of collagen.

Cushioning for Feet (Dermal Fillers) are ideal for:

  • Painful corns
  • Patients with loss of fatty pad tissue
  • Patients who like to wear high heels

The procedure is virtually painless and uneventful although it does involve injecting local anaesthetic into the side of the ankle.

Dermal fillers are often useful for patients not easily helped by conventional methods and may get 6-12 months or more of pain relief.
